Mogadishu – The UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Somalia, James Swan, extends his heartfelt greetings to the Somali people as they celebrate Eid al-Adha.

“Somalis are coming together to celebrate the special occasion of Eid al-Adha – a time for reflection, selflessness and consideration of those who are less fortunate,” Mr. Swan said. “I join them in this and, on behalf of the United Nations family in Somalia, I wish them all Eid Mubarak. May the spirit of Eid al-Adha help foster peace and harmony throughout the country. Ciid Wanaagsan!"
