UN Special Representative for Somalia on the occasion of Ramadan

Mogadishu – The Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General (SRSG) for Somalia, Nicholas Kay, today extended his best wishes to all Somali people as they prepare for the holy month of Ramadan.“Ramadan is a time for families and communities to share the happiness of gathering together for iftar and prayers. It is a time for thoughtful reflection, reconciliation and to remember those who are less fortunate than ourselves. We are reminded that peace, equality and compassion bind us together and are far stronger than anything that divides us. In this spirit I wish all Somali people and their families a peaceful and blessed month. Ramadan Kareem! ” Mr Kay said.
