The Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General (SRSG) for Somalia Michael Keating strongly condemns the murder of the Radio Shabelle journalist Abdiaziz Mohamed Ali in the Somali capital yesterday by two unknown gunmen.

The Federal Indirect Electoral Implementation Team (FIEIT) has announced new dates for Somalia’s electoral process.The presidential election will now take place on 30 November 2016, while parliamentary elections will be held from October 23 to November 10 for both the lower and upper houses.
