Mohamed Hassan Ismail on 30 October 2014. "I was saddened to hear of the passing of Police Commissioner Ismail, and extend my sympathies to his friends and family, the Somali Police Force, the Federal Government of Somalia and all Somali people," SRSG Kay said.

The President of Somalia has confirmed at least thirteen people were killed.
