  • 25 Jul 2019 - Mogadishu Good Morning, ladies and gentlemen, Before I read my statement, I wish to request all to stand and observe a minute of silence, in honour of all those who have lost their lives due to the terrorist bomb attacks, including those which occurred during this week, while I am here. I extend my condolences to the families of the deceased, and wish the injured a quick recovery. May the soul of the deceased persons rest in eternal peace. Amen.
  • 24 Jul 2019 - PRESS STATEMENT 14/2019 Mogadishu – The UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Somalia, James Swan, strongly condemns the suicide attack that took place in the offices of Mogadishu’s mayor today and which has reportedly led to casualties, with the mayor among them.
