The Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General (SRSG) in Somalia, Michael Keating strongly condemned the recent spate of terrorist incidents that have caused carnage among Somali communities.

Humanitarian partners involved in efforts to address the current drought crisis in Somalia, held a meeting Tuesday to discuss ways of strengthening partnerships to better deliver assistance to affected communities.

Emergency Directors today visited Baidoa and Kismaayo to assess the impact of drought on populations in South West and Jubbaland states which are the worst affected throughout Somalia.
