Mogadishu – The Acting Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Somalia and Head of the UN Assistance Mission for Somalia (UNSOM), James Swan, arrived in Mogadishu today.
Ahead of her departure from Somalia at the end of her assignment, UN Special Representative Catriona Laing sat down for an interview with the ‘Path to Peace’ radio programme.
Garowe – Continuing her farewell visits with Somali leaders, the top United Nations official for Somalia today visited Puntland where she discussed the world body’s support in areas such as local development and national dialogue.

Dhusamareb – Continuing her farewell visits with Somali leaders, the top United Nations official for Somalia today visited Galmudug where she welcomed that Federal Member State’s recent achievements in the fight against female genital mutilation (FGM).
