UN envoy wishes Somalis a peaceful and joyous Ramadan

Mogadishu – The Officer-in-Charge of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Somalia (UNSOM) and the Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Somalia, Raisedon Zenenga, sends his warm greetings to all Somalis as the holy month of Ramadan begins.

“On behalf of the entire United Nations family in Somalia, I extend best wishes for a peaceful holy month of Ramadan to Somalis in the country and around the world,” said Mr. Zenenga. “This is an important time in the year when families and communities can be together, reflect on what really matters in life, and offer their prayers and support for those who are less fortunate. It is also a time for healing and forgiveness.

“May Somalia be blessed this Ramadan with joy and grace – Ramadan kareem, Ramadan wanaagsan.”
