UNSOM presents Communication and Information Technology (CIT) equipment to Somali Police Force

Mogadishu - UNSOM’s Rule of Law and Security Institutions Group undertook a tour of duty on 20 August 2013, to the Somali Police Force (SPF) Headquarters, where they handed over a number of Japanese funded CIT equipment that included: 3 Camcorders, 40 laptop computers with accessories, 21 printers, 1 multi-function photocopier, 10 Laserjet printers and 766 Printer toners.

The equipment, which was presented to the Somali Police Force was received by Colonel Mohamad Abdi Bashir SPF Director General responsible for construction and infrastructure. The SPF Police Commissioner Abdihakim Dahir Sa'eed, and Brigadier General Abdullahi Hasan Barise attended the hand-over ceremony.
