Mogadishu – As part of the observance of World Humanitarian Day, Somalia today highlighted the contribution made by women humanitarians to peacebuilding efforts in the country.
Hargeisa – In meetings with Somaliland’s leadership today, the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Representative highlighted the importance of building on Somaliland’s achievements as well as preparing for upcoming elections there.

Kismayo – On his first visit to the southern state of Jubaland since his arrival, the new United Nations envoy to Somalia expressed his solidarity with its residents in the wake of last week’s deadly terrorist attack.
